Pasco K-8 Family Update | Open House, Athletics, Attendance & Dismissal Reminders

Dear Pasco K-8 Families,
We had a fantastic first full week of school! Thank you for your patience, partnership, and flexibility as we continue refining our procedures. I especially appreciate everyone's cooperation during Thursday's first rainy day dismissal.
We have three more days of checking K-5 bus bands, and once that process is complete, we anticipate our buses departing much more quickly. Our Transportation Department will also begin adjusting some bus stops to help address overcrowding concerns and improve efficiency for our students.
Additionally, our afternoon car lines are moving much more smoothly. As a reminder, please plan to arrive by 3:15 p.m. to pick up your child. After 3:15 p.m., students will be brought to the Main Office on the Upper Campus, and a car tag or photo ID will be required for student release.
Open House - Thursday, August 27
Join us for Open House from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to:
Visit classrooms and meet teachers.
Learn about the exciting learning experiences planned for this school year.

Mandatory Fall Sports Parent Meeting
Families of students participating in football, cheer, and volleyball should attend a mandatory Fall Sports Parent Meeting from 5:00-5:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.
Football Schedule Update
Our inaugural football season is almost here! Unfortunately, our first scheduled game was postponed because the Pasco High School stadium is not yet ready for competition. The Skybrooke K-8 game originally scheduled for this Tuesday, August 25 has been moved to October 27, 2026.
We would love to see our Pasco K-8 community come out on Tuesday, September 1, for our first football game against John Long Middle School. Be sure to purchase an Inaugural Pasco K-8 Football T-shirt and enjoy a delicious BBQ pork sandwich from the concession stand.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and there is no better time than the beginning of the school year to establish strong attendance habits. Every day matters, and consistent attendance helps students build routines, stay engaged in learning, and develop strong academic foundations.
